The reader technology used will determine the level of security of your access control system, as well as the scalability. Chubb will assess your requirements and provide the most appropriate technology to suit your needs.

Biometrics

This is the most secure level of access control as it cannot be copied or stolen, in addition it cannot be lost. Biometrics use any measurable unique physiological characteristic or personal trait as the unique credential. Biometric access can be further verified by combining with an additional technology such as proximity or PIN, this can be used to provide additional security for high-risk areas. Typical examples of biometric credentials are fingerprint, hand or face geometry, retinal (eye).

Audio video door entry systems

This is a facility that will allow the occupants to validate a visitor audibly or visually before allowing authorised entry. These systems are often used in conjunction with an access control system. Any size of system is available from a single door, to a multi dwelling apartment block. Entry can be granted locally, centrally managed or even remotely via a mobile app or management software.

Visitor management

A visitor management solution is designed to replace the traditional paper-based sign-in books to provide quick and easy registration of visitors and contractors.

Site Access Management System (SAMS)

SAMS is an integrated database system which has the ability to identify people both when they are on site and once they have departed a site. Designed with the requirements of UK government agencies in mind, SAMS is a must for any guard house or reception. There are four main modules available within the SAMS package- Visitor Systems, Staff/Contractor Systems, Fast track and Intranet Visitor Notification. Each module is made up of a set of relational databases which each contain fields, features and functions specific to these categories.

Visitor Express

Visitor Express provides an efficient service to manage visitors and staff, and offers added security that manual paper based systems cannot provide. Using Visitor Express standalone or networked across single/multiple site gives provides security, while complying with legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and Employers Liability Act. It also instantly provides a clear and accurate view of all staff, visitors and contractors who are on your site at any given time.

Visitor Express replaces traditional sign-in books with a system that stores names, images and profiles. It simplifies the process of signing visitors and contractors into your site, printing customised passes including images and at the same time recording information to generate reports afterwards. You are also able to design the layout of the screen to fit with your corporate branding.

Even more critically they are suited to grow with your business size and requirements. The systems offer many bespoke features eg visitor management, video and intruder integration, and can be adapted to suit your individual requirements. OnGuard is compatible with a wide range of reader and biometric verification technologies.

 

TruPortal

TruPortal systems are ideally suited to small to medium single or multi-site businesses. TruPortal uses an internet browser and so avoids compatibility issues with your existing IT operating systems as there is no dedicated PC or software to install. This also means that the system can be managed from smartphones or tablets. It is an intuitive, simple to use icon-based system. The systems also offer integrated access control and digital video, the benefit being that you can use the access control system to operate other systems, e.g. set a camera to record.

Proximity

Proximity cards allow a simple means of access where the card is simply presented to the card reader, alternatively this technology lends itself to longer-range hands free applications allowing a card to be kept in a pocket or bag. The cards are available in multiple formats to suit the customer needs, application and budget. Proximity cards can be multi discipline allowing use with third party applications e.g. cashless vending, lighting etc. With the recent introduction of Near Field Communication (NFC) readers it is now possible to use a smartphone as a security access control credential.

 

Proximity with verification

The level of security can be enhanced by adding one or two additional levels of technology to ensure that lost cards will not compromise your security. The additional verification will normally be something that is individual to the user i.e. PIN number or a biometric such as fingerprint. This is often referred to as three factor authentication, something you have (credential), know (PIN) and are (Biometric).

So, if you are looking for on-site access management, automatic access control, automatic number plate recognition, simple ID pass production or a mixture of all, SISYS is able to provide a solution.

Visitor control station

For the secure processing of visitors and other people requiring a temporary form of ID when entering a site. The system will keep a track of visitors as and when they come and go and saves visitor profiles along with their image for future reference. There is an option to have the visitor control station as pass only without image.

 

Permanent pass station

For the processing of clearances and issue of permanent credit-card-style photo ID passes. Cards issued from the system can then be used in conjunction with many other industry-standard applications such as access control and time management. Interfaces to such systems, allowing the real-time transfer of data and images to third-party systems, are also available.

 

All-purpose stations

Combines the functionality of the visitor control station and permanent pass station on a single workstation.

 

Enquiry terminal

For the entry and/or editing of system data, this can also be used by system supervisors / managers for performing queries on the system.

 

Intranet visit notification system (IVNS)

IVNS offers the ultimate in efficient visitor booking. The host can see their own visitors as they are due in their personal calendar, emails can be automatically generated confirming the appointment and including a location map. Visitors pre-booked using IVNS that do not meet defined rules for a visit can be ‘held’ in a pending file for acceptance/rejection by a security controller.

 

Electoral-roll look up

Postcode/electoral roll Lookup is a verification tool that enables operators to check the last registered address provided by an individual seeking access to an establishment.

Visitor Express

Visitor express enables you to pre book visitors, store and capture information including image, automatic emails, pre-print passes for expected, previously visited visitors, having their pass waiting for them upon arrival and capture data using optional Business Card scan

 

Visitor express security

Security Edition offers a means of processing passes for, and storing valued information and images about visitors to your premises, which can be searched upon, displayed and reported on based on varying criteria. The security edition is powerful as you are able to set classification and clearance data which visitors have to meet and the data is stored for future visits.

 

Pass express

Pass express you can issue staff and contractors with professional and durable ID cards, which may be used for access control or time and attendance.

 

Self-service terminal

Fast Track Kiosk which is a self-service terminal. This terminal will verify if the visitor is expected, print out the pass and emails the host announcing the visitors arrival.
