DirectWireless Communication Module
Direct Wireless is a dedicated, wireless communications solution for alarm monitoring only. It reports all alarm, operational status, and event messages reliably, securely, and instantly to the alarm monitoring service provider at any time and any place an alarm event occurs.
Direct Wireless not only permanently connects your alarm to your monitoring service provider but also regularly checks and tests the status of your alarm interface every 90 seconds or 24 hours depending on the service plan chosen.
Key Features
DirectConnect
The DirectConnect solution is deployed through a custom-configured 4G router that connects to the SCSI private and secure network. This enables the 4G router to have a fixed IP address at all times.
Two very big advantages of a fixed IP address are that it removes the inconvenience of having to visit the device on-site and reconfigure hardware should the network allocate another IP address, and it also makes the solution easy to integrate into SMC’s RVR platform, which is dependent on a static IP.
SMC Bureau can easily use the DirectConnect solution combined with our Remote Video Verification platform to connect with existing CCTV equipment at the end customer’s address, allowing our team to carry out Video Verification of alarm activations and offer Virtual Guard Tours and Virtual Escorts.
Supported industries include Transport, Banking, Education, Retail, Councils and building sites without network infrastructure.
Key Features
WatchArmour
The Watch Armour solution from SCSI is a wearable technology for our bureaus to offer their end customers working in the Banking, Prison, School and Health industries.
This solution allows end users to trigger a discreet duress alarm in SMC’s two A1-R1A graded control rooms. It also has a desktop and phone app that works like the watch. It also has a separate alert button that makes raising an alert even easier, especially for senior citizens and persons with disability.
What sets this product apart from others in the industry is that it can send a local emergency alert within the customers’ workplace without raising the alarm with the control room. If the situation escalates, raising the alarm for SMC operators to become involved is just a simple process.
Another important feature is an interconnected relay board that connects input and outputs into the watch environment. This relay board allows the connection of inputs from other local security devices, such as fixed hold-up buttons and duress pendants. This will activate the watch system and alert all users wearing the technology that an incident is occurring.
Relay outputs can also be connected to an on-site security panel to lock down access control or trigger other systems such as pagers and warning lights or strobes.
